Event that changed the world 1928 - Alexander Fleming discovers penicillin. Fleming (d.1955) was a professor of bacteriology at St Mary's Hospital, London. Fleming was awarded the 1945 Nobel Prize in Medicine, along with Howard Florey and Ernst Chain, who helped in the development of penicillin. Fleming was knighted in 1944, and in 1999 he featured in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most important people of the century. The film is remembered as the first talking picture and the first movie musical. Neither of those claims are true. Lindbergh completed the first solo, nonstop transatlantic flight in history, flying his  Spirit of St. Louis  from Long Island, New York, to Paris, France. In 1919 New York hotel owner Raymond Orteig offered a $25,000 prize for the completion of the first nonstop flight between New York and Paris. Event that changed the world 1917 - The first Tank Battle. Perang yang dikenali juga sebagai The Battle of Cambrai. Lusitania was first launched in 1906.  Built for the transatlantic passenger trade, it was luxurious and noted for its speed. Batu Bersurat Terengganu (BBT) dijumpai pada tahun 1887. Ia ditemui di tebing Sungai Tersat (Sungai Tara) berdekatan Kampung Buluh, Kuala Berang, Terengganu. Sebaik ditemui BBT telah dibawa ke sebuah surau berdekatan, Surau Tok Rashid. Nama Tok Rashid ini agak terkenal sebagai tokoh agama tempatan (baca link -  tdm ).  Pada 1902 BBT telah dibawa ke Kuala Terengganu dengan rakit. Langkah membawa BBT ke KT adalah usaha seorang kenamaan Terengganu bernama Pengiran Anum Engku Abdul Kadir. Ini susulan beliau  singgah bersolat di Surau Tok Rashid dan terlihat batu tersebut yang diguna sebagai pelapik kaki. BBT dipersembah kepada Sultan Zainal Abidin III. Sultan memerintah BBT di letak di Bukit Puteri dan tersadai di situ selama 20 tahun iaitu sehingga 1922. Buyid diasaskan oleh Ali ibn Buya pada 934. Beliau berjaya menawan Fars dan menjadikan Shiraz sebagai kota pusat. Adik Ali ibn Buya bernama Hassan ibn Buya pula berjaya menawan Jibal pada penghujung 930 dan pada 943 telah menawan Ray dan menjadikannya kota pusat. Pada 945 adik bongsu mereka Ahmad ibn Buya berjaya menawan Iraq dan mengambil Baghdad sebagai kota pusat. Ahmad ibn Buya diberi gelaran hormat Muizz al-Dawla, Ali ibn Buya pula gelaran Imad ad-Dawla dan Hassan gelaran Rukn ad-Dawla. Dinasti Buyid meneruskan penguasaan mereka di tiga wilayah Fars, Ray dan Baghdad untuk beberapa tempoh.
