St Petersburg adalah sebuah kota di Russia. Terdapat sebuah masjid di St Petersburg dengan kapasiti boleh memuat 5,000 jemaah. Reka bentuk binaan Masjid St Petersburg menyerupai bangunan Gur-e-Amir (binaan makam Tamerlane), Samarkand.  Masjid St Petersburg mula dibina pada 1910 dan mula diguna pakai pada 1913. Ianya yang siap dibina sepenuhnya pada 1921. Petikan akhbar indonesia ( link ): Kita dapat membaca pengalaman Ludovico Bartema, “tuan terhormat dari Roma” yang bepergian ke Mekah pada tahun 1503, sebagaimana dicatat oleh Augustus Ralli di dalam bukunya Christians at Mecca (1909). Bartema mengungkapkan bahwa perjalanannya ke Mekah ditemani oleh ”rasa lapar dan haus, cuaca dingin dan panas, peperangan, tawanan, dan ketakutan-ketakutan”. Khuza'ah dikaitkan dengan asbabun nuzul at-Taubah 14. Apakah sejarah Khuzaah? Jawapannya adalah mereka punya sejarah dengan penjagaan Ka'abah. Seperti mana yang kita tahu sejarah Ka'abah bermula dengan Hajar dan Ismail sebagai penjaganya. Kemudian mereka bersama menjaganya dengan Puak Jurhum. Nabi Ismail telah berkahwin dengan seorang wanita puak Jurhum. Dalam artikel Inggeris mereka ditulis Gorrhamite ( wiki ). Puak Jurhum adalah terdiri dari Bani Bakr dan Bani Khuza'ah. Bermakna kedua-dua Bani ini telah bersaing untuk menjaga Ka'abah sejak zaman silam lagi. Bani Khuza'ah dipimpin oleh Amr' bin Rabiah (atau Luhay). Beliaulah yang pernah membawa pulang idol berhala Hubay dari negeri Syam. Bukan semua perniagaan McD berjaya. Ada juga negara di mana McD menutup kedai kerana gagal dalam perniagaannya. Negara tersebut ialah Iceland, Bolivia, Jamaica, Paraguay dan Trinidad – baca  time  dan  nytimes . McD menutup perniagaan mereka di Bolivia sejak tahun 2002 setelah tujuh tahun beroperasi. Bolivia dihuni oleh ramai penduduk pribumi iaitu sekitar 60%. McD mula melebarkan perniagaan ke negara luar Amerika pada tahun 1967. Canada merupakan negara pertama yang di tuju. Restoran McD pertama dibuka di Richmond, British Columbia (baca  wiki ). Pada tahun yang sama McD turut membuka restoran pertama di Amerika Latin iaitu di Puerto Rico (baca  mcspotlight ). Foto restoran tersebut (bukan yang asal) boleh lihat di  flickr .
