Berikut pula adalah beberapa fakta mengenai penggunaan bahasa Jerman.

  1. German is the fifth most widely taught language worldwide, after Spanish.
  2. German remains the language with the most native speakers in Europe, with around 100 million native speakers, after Russian, with 120 million native speakers.
  3. German is the official language in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein.
  4. Donaudampfschifffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft is the longest word to be published. It is 79 letters long.
  5. There are 35 dialects of the German language.
