World Croc Day was founded in 2017 by the Crocodile Research Coalition and Belize Zoo in order to raise awareness of the world's endangered and threatened crocodiles (and alligators!)

World Crocodile Day was founded in 2017 by the Crocodile Research Coalition (CRC) in collaboration with The Belize Zoo. The global awareness campaign was established by CRC researchers Shawn Heflick, Kelly Silvano, and Dr. Marisa Tellez to highlight the conservation of crocodiles, alligators, and gharials.

Di Malaysia, sambutan ini sering dianjurkan dan digerakkan oleh agensi kerajaan serta badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) tempatan, seperti:Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia (DOF) [Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia]Tabung Hidupan Liar Sedunia (WWF) Malaysia [WWF-Malaysia]Institusi pengajian tinggi seperti Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) [Universiti Malaysia Terengganu].

World Turtle Day was created and launched in 2000 by the American Tortoise Rescue. The organization was founded in 1990 by husband-and-wife animal rights activists Susan Tellem and Marshal Thomps.

The annual event is celebrated internationally every May 23rd to educate people about turtles and tortoises, protect their habitats, and encourage human action to help these reptiles survive.

Did you know? World Otter Day is celebrated every year on the last Wednesday of May!

Founded by IOSF in 2016, this year marks our 10th anniversary of this great day for raising awareness of the struggles of the otter worldwide throughout the 14 species.

International Otter Survival Fund.

World Otter Day was started by the International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF). It began as "Otterly Mad Week" in 2009, evolved into "International Otter Awareness Day" in 2014, and officially became World Otter Day in 2016. It is observed annually on the last Wednesday of May.

World Parrot Day

World Parrot Day was founded by the World Parrot Trust in 2004. It was originally launched with a rally in London's Trafalgar Square to highlight the devastating impact of the wild bird trade and push for a ban on importing wild-caught parrots.

Since its inception on May 31, 2004, the annual observance has grown into a globally recognized.
