He was Emeritus Professor of Islamic Studies at McGill University  and for nearly 20 years the Director of the Institute of Islamic Studies there. His long career at McGill Uni  began when he joined the faculty in 1952.  He studied Islam in Pakistan under a Ford Foundation Grant. Membaca tafsir Munir J29, tafsir oleh Dr Wahbah Al-Zuhaili, tafsir awal dalam surah al-Mulk ada disebut nama Diya' al-Din Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Abdul Wahid al-Maqdisi. Gelaran nama al-Maqdisi merujuk kepada kota Jerusalem atau lebih biasa disebut dalam bahasa Arab sebagai Baitul-Maqdis. Beberapa hari belakangan mula tersebar video tunjuk ada haiwan ternakan yg dikata dari hybrid lembu dan babi. Malah laju saja sesetengah warga maya sebut nama nya sebagai lembi. Di sambung pula dengan pesanan/amaran berhati-hati lah dengan daging import. Begitu lah sentimen golongan yang terlihat peka dengan daging halal. Meski pun belum ada kepastian adakah wujud haiwan sedemikian. Dan kalau ada pun tidaklah secepat dan semudah itu boleh menembusi pasaran daging ke negara kita. Kepekaan dan keresahan mereka itu satu bab lain. Tetapi betul kah ada haiwan lembi ni? Kenapa tak semak dulu. Paling mudah carilah kat google ada ke hybrid lembi ni. Pastinya yg penting bagi sesetengah kelompok ini bukan mengkaji. Kenapa ada Delft Island di Sri Lanka?
